PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The two connection methods for batteries each have their own advantages. The advantage of soft connection (bolted connection) is easy replacement, while the disadvantage is poor stability and easy heating; The advantage of hard connection (welding) is its good stability and conductivity, while the disadvantage is that replacement is relatively time-consuming.
The so-called soft connected battery electrode is a copper core embedded in the lead electrode, which is the contact between two different materials. Its electrical performance is not as good as that of the same material that is hard connected. The hard connecting rod and connecting rod are made of the same material, achieving a molecular level connection, which is not easy to cause poor connection due to different materials, leading to the burning of the connecting rod.
Although the maintenance of soft connections is simple, as it seems that they can be disassembled and installed with a wrench, in reality it is not that simple because there are certain requirements for torque and other aspects when connecting. It is best to operate by professional personnel, otherwise, if the connection is not good, it can easily cause accidents such as heating, fire, or even explosion.
Although many people in China currently believe that screw connections are convenient and easy to use, safety remains the top priority for traction batteries with huge energy storage capacity. It should be noted that hard connected (soldered) batteries are used in most regions outside of Europe, even in the United States. Even in Europe, explosion-proof batteries with higher requirements for battery stability are all welded.
Therefore, as long as the specifications are used, welding and tightening are very convenient for users, and welding is also safer.
