Copper bar
Copper bar is a kind of non-ferrous metal processing bar, which has good processing performance and high electrical conductivity. It is mainly divided into brass rod (copper zinc alloy, cheaper), red copper rod (higher copper content). Brass rod is a rod-shaped object made of copper and zinc alloy, named after its yellow color. Brass with a copper content of 56% ~ 68% has a melting point of 934 ~ 967 degrees. Brass has good mechanical properties and wear resistance, and can be used to manufacture precision instruments, ship parts, gun casings, etc.

Applications

The use of pure copper is much wider than that of iron, and a large amount of copper is used in the electrical industry every year. Pure copper is mainly used to make electrical equipment such as generators, bus bars, cables, switchgears, transformers, etc. Oxygen in copper (a small amount of oxygen is easily mixed in copper smelting) has a great influence on electrical conductivity, and copper used in the electrical industry must generally be oxygen-free copper. Pure copper is also mainly used in the production of motor short-circuit rings, electromagnetic heating inductors, and high-power electronic components, terminal blocks and the like. Pure copper is also used in furniture and decorations such as doors, windows, and handrails.
